What is oXygen?
Download the OS X installation package (oxygen.dmg). Optional Validate the integrity of the downloaded file by checking it against the MD5 sum published on the download page. Double-click the oxygen.dmg disk image file to mount it. Drag/Copy the Oxygen XML Editor folder to your /Applications folder (or another location if you wish). Eligibility
Faculty, staff and students at UVa may install the <oXygen/> XML Editor. For eligibility details and possible restrictions, visit the UVa Software Gateway.
Installation Instructions for Windows, Mac and Linux
Eligible users must first download the license file from UVa Software. The first download is a small text file that contains 9 lines of text. The same text is applied to every version over version 10, and works for each operating system.
Instructions: New Installation
- Go to the oXygenXML download website.
- Select the appropriate version for your operating system and download the file. The current version is 18.
- Run the installer.
- After installation open the program. You will be prompted to enter your license file.
- Open the license file and copy all nine lines of text. Paste all copied nine lines of text into the box provided. This will enable all aspects of oXygen.
Instructions: Renewal
The product does not expire. When a new version comes out, a new license file will be made available that supports the latest version.
